Hi, I'm Sammi

I’m a mama, labor & delivery nurse, farm wife, and photographer on the side. My days are a little bit of everything, welcoming babies into the world, navigating farm life (which, let’s be honest, is completely dictated by Kansas weather), and keeping up with my dinosaur and monster truck-obsessed little boy who is my whole world. I’m a big believer that life doesn’t have to be perfectly organized to be really, really good. Some days are busy, some days are slow, and some days are just surviving with a little caffeine. I love a good nap, a comfort show I’ve probably already watched a hundred times, a walk with a friend, and getting lost in a good audiobook

Most importantly, I love Jesus and I’m constantly reminded of His goodness in the little things, the ordinary moments, the unexpected ones, and the people He puts in my life. I truly get to have the best of both worlds. I get to do one of the greatest jobs in the world as a labor & delivery nurse, helping families welcome their babies into the world. And then I get to pick up my camera and create just because I love it. No pressure. No trying to fit into a box. Just a space for me to be creative, try new things, and have fun.

And that’s really what I love about photography. It’s a little space to slow down, create something fun, and celebrate the people and moments that make life so good.
